Product Characteristics

Tactile metal domes are momentary switch contacts that become normally open switches when used with a printed circuit board, flex circuit, or membrane. They are placed on printed circuit boards through pressure-sensitive adhesive tape, captured in a pocket design。

In the static state, the tactile metal spring is in contact outside the main pad. When briefly pressed, they come into contact and make contact with the secondary path, thereby closing the circuit. Many different shapes and forces can be used to suit your specific application. You can use them as mechanical switches, electrical contacts, and tactile switches.

Venting

The vent channel can go through the board. Not properly venting the dome will result in a significant loss of tactile response.
